North Star Academy of Dance has created the "Velva Ball Legacy Scholarship Fund" in loving memory of Velva Ball (Dancer, Teacher, Friend).  Velva set the bar for all dancers to follow.  She was focused, committed and worked hard in every class she enrolled in.  She was a competitive dancer and worked very hard to get to the top.  Judges would remark on the strength and power in her dancing.  She inspired all who watched her perform.  She passed on her passion for dance when she began teaching.  Students loved her classes!  We are looking for the dancers who inspire us and capture the magic of dance in honor of Velva Ball.

Two (2) $500 Scholarships will be awarded to dancers 6 & under during our 2022 Annual Dance Recital.  Each year we will select an age of Velva's dance journey to honor.  Scholarships may be used towards dance tuition in the new fall 2022 season.  Parents: you can fill out the form on behalf of your dancer but please try to include their words in your submission.
